What do I need to get started?

Legal Business Documentation: Business registration or incorporation documents: Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN) Tax File Number (TFN) Ownership Details: Information on business owners and key management. Financial Information: Bank account details for payment settlements. Annual Business Turnover Business Operations: Detailed description of products/services. Merchant Category Code (MCC).

When are funds settled?

Touch2Pay conducts fund settlements on weekdays, Monday through Friday. Daily settlements are transferred to your linked bank account at 5 PM AEDT. Transactions made over the weekend are combined and settled on Monday along with that day's transactions.

What is a POS System?

A POS (Point of Sale) system is a combination of software and hardware that retailers use to conduct sales. It functions like a digital cash register, handling transactions, processing payments, and managing inventory. Modern POS systems can also integrate with other business tools to streamline operations and improve customer experiences.

What are merchant fees?

A merchant settlement fee is a charge imposed on businesses for processing credit card transactions. It covers the cost of transferring funds from the customer's bank to the merchant's bank.

What is the Touch2Pay app?

Our Touch2Pay App facilitates EFTPOS payments/refunds to help manage your business efficiently. Through our Touch2Pay portal, the application gives you the ability to monitor your transactions in real time.

What is a MID?

a MID (Merchant Identification Number) is a unique identifier assigned to a business by its acquiring bank or payment processor. It ensures that transactions are correctly routed and tracked, aiding in accurate fund settlement and compliance. The MID is essential for managing transactions, maintaining security, and ensuring that the business receives the funds from its card-based sales.

What payment types do you accept?

We accept a wide range of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Union Pay, EFTpos, American Express

How much does it cost? 

Our payment terminal offers straightforward pricing with no hidden fees.  For each transaction, you will be charged a transparent 1.4% processing fee. Additionally, a one-time cost applies to purchase the terminal. This upfront investment ensures you have access to a reliable and user-friendly payment solution for your business.

How can I view my transactions?

Touch2Pay issues unique login credentials to merchants for the use of our Merchant Portal which allows them to view the most recent transaction data.

If you're having issues with your device, we have provided a few answers below. 

What do I need to set up a device?

If you have just received your new payment device, you will require you Merchant ID (MID), username & a WiFi network. 

I dropped my device & now it's saying "attacked"? What do I do?

Sunmi devices are designed to lock automatically if they detect tampering, including after being dropped. Should this occur, you will need to contact our technical support team to request an unlock code.

How do I update the software on my device?

You can update your device to the latest ROM version by going into Settings > System Updates.

How can I find the device serial number?

Each device has the serial number stored in the Settings > About Device. 

What applications can I use on my device?

Sunmi devices operate on the Android OS, granting access to a wide range of Android apps available in the app store. If you encounter any issues finding an app, please contact our tech support team for assistance.

Where can I repair my device?

PTC Phone Repairs Pty Ltd are the authorised Sunmirepair centre in Australia.

What do I do if I forgot my 4 digit pin for the payment application?

If you incorrectly entered the wrong pin 3 times for your payment application, you will then need to contact our technical support team to have this reset. Please provide you MID, Full Name & position.

How do I know if it's under warranty?

Each device comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering malfunctions. Please note that the warranty does not cover accidental damage.

Where do I get an OTP?

PTC Phone Repairs, situated in Queensland, is the authorized repair service for Sunmi devices. For any repair needs, please reach out to them directly.

How do I make a warranty claim?

If your device is within the 12 month warranty period, you can contact our tech support team for any warranty claims.
